Otherworldly Patron subclass Otherworldly Patron Your patron is the Spirit of the Great Serpent. Like the other animal Great Spirits, it sacrificed itself for animals, but it willingly lends its poison and hunger to those who agree to surrender part of themselves in a Ritual. Serpent Spells 3 Poison Spray, Ray of Sickness, Dissonant Whispers, Suggestion, Enlarge/Reduce 5 Fear, Stinking Cloud 7 Vitriolic Sphere, Confusion 9 Contagion, Cloudkill Serpent Spells You can also cast Speak with Animals, Animal Friendship, Animal Messenger, and Beast Sense without expending a Spell slot, but only on snakes. Strange Gifts Through sacred rituals, you gain one of the following mutations of your choice: Serpent Perception You gain Blindsight out to 30 feet, but lose the ability to see in any other way. During the ritual, you gouge out your eyes. You can add your Charisma modifier to Perception checks. Serpent Spirit Prerequisite: Pact of the Chain invocation. You can summon a Giant Venomous Snake or Constrictor Snake as your familiar without material components. Whenever it dies, make a Constitution Saving Throw against your Spell Save DC. On a failure, you take 1d6 Force Damage and lose the same amount from your maximum Hit Points until your next Long Rest. Serpent Hand You cut off an arm and cauterize the wound. It regrows as a snake and becomes a Weapon with which you are proficient and have Weapon Mastery. It can take the properties of any melee Weapon in the Player's Handbook and deals an extra 1d6 Poison Damage. It is a valid Target for Pact of the Blade. If the chosen Weapon is two-handed, you cannot use a Shield at the same time. Level 6 You gain resistance to Poison Damage.
