Soul Song, Sleeping

D&D 2024 item: Soul Song, Sleeping. Source: Fumble. type Weapon, Rare rarity, Requires attunement, properties Variable form Weapon, rare, requires attunement Description Soul Song looks like a strip of black, semi-liquid Obsidian. When drawn, it flows from the owner's hand and hardens into a shape chosen by the owner. Its edge does not reflect light, and every strike carries a whisper like a distant choir. Magic Weapon You gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this Magic Weapon. Liquid Form As a Bonus Action, you can give Soul Song the form of any simple or martial melee or ranged weapon. It retains all its magical properties. If it takes the form of a ranged weapon, it creates its own Obsidian ammunition, which disappears immediately after hitting or missing. It cannot take the form of a firearm or a weapon with the Special property without the GM's permission. Voice of the Dead Once per Long Rest, you can use an action to cast Speak with Dead from Soul Song without components. The corpse does not need a mouth if you touch it with Soul Song, but it must contain at least part of a skull or heart. First Echo After the conversation ends, you can record the speaker's echo in the weapon if it does not object. Soul Song can store one echo. As an action, you can summon the echo for up to 10 minutes. It speaks telepathically only to you and answers from its knowledge, but it is not forced to tell the truth. After using this property, you cannot summon the echo again until a Long Rest. Recording a new echo releases the previous one. Requires attunement Weapon Rare Variable form
