Source: Puncheons and Flagons. recipe type The Low Lantern, serves 6-8, diet Vegetarian Ingredients Large ice cubes 6 ounces white rum 3 ounces dark rum 6 ounces falernum 3 ounces fresh lemon juice 3 ounces fresh orange juice 6 ounces pineapple juice 12 ounces hibiscus tea, cooled to room temperature 0.5 teaspoon edible glitter Pop rocks, for rimming glasses Lemon wedge, for rimming the glass Popping boba Rock candy, for garnish Instructions To make the simple syrup: In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, add the water and sugar. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to low. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened. Remove from heat. Let fully cool before using. Store any remaining simple syrup in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. Fill a punch bowl or large pitcher halfway with large ice cubes. Add the white rum, dark rum, falernum, lemon juice, orange juice, pineapple juice, hibiscus tea, 3 ounces of simple syrup, and edible glitter to the punch bowl and mix well with a long-handled spoon. Empty a packet of pop rocks onto a small rimmed plate. Lightly run the cut side of a lemon wedge around the rim of a rocks or stemless wine glass and dip the rim into the pop rocks. To serve, add a spoonful or two of popping boba to each glass and top with punch. Garnish each drink with a stick of rock candy and serve at once.
