Monstrosity, Medium or Small Lore Nocturnal Moths are envoys of the Great Moon Spirit who help mortals and transport messages between cities. Their adventurers have as many origins as other mortals. Life Mode Nocturnal Moths live a nomadic life. Daylight blinds them, so they cannot live in cities. Their caravans are moving towns called Star Systems. A Star Caravan forms the center, Satellites form the outer ring, and Scouts called Comets remain scattered around the edges. When a Comet detects a shadow, it warns the caravan, which changes course. Refusing help or refusing offered help is considered morally wrong in their culture, although a character may come from another culture. Languages You can speak, read, and write Common and Moth, a language that communicates through changing Light patterns like fast Morse code. Creature Type Monstrosity. Size Medium or Small. You choose the Size when you gain this lineage. Speed Your walking Speed is 30 feet. Moon Strength You have resistance to Necrotic Damage. Darkvision You can see in Dim Light within 120 feet as if it were Bright Light, and in Darkness as if it were Dim Light. You discern colors in Darkness as shades of gray. Sunlight Sensitivity When directly in sunlight, you have Disadvantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks. Feeding on Light You do not need normal food or Sleep for sustenance. You consume light by basking in it for 4 hours, gaining sustenance for 1 day. During this time, you can perform only light activity. Moon Favor You have Advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made to hide from silhouettes and on Wisdom (Survival, Insight, and Perception) checks related to silhouettes.
